About Track Retirement | Track Retirement

We help you make smarter money decisions.

Track Retirement is an independent annuity and retirement-income comparison service, built to cut through pay-to-play rankings.

Track Retirement compares annuities and retirement-income products side by side — rates, carrier strength, fees, and features — so you can choose what's actually right for your situation. We cover fixed-indexed annuities, MYGAs, and immediate and deferred income annuities, and how they fit alongside IRAs and 401(k) rollovers.

Why we exist

Most "best of" finance content is sponsored content with a different name. The product at #1 paid the most. The "comparison table" is a sales sheet. Track Retirement was built to solve that — we publish the plain comparison, with the scoring shown, that most "best of" pages won't. Our guides are researched from primary sources and drafted with the help of AI tools; they are not written or reviewed by a licensed insurance agent, financial planner, or CFP® professional, and they are not a substitute for advice from one.

What independence actually means here

We make money when readers click through to one of our partners and request a call or a quote. We explain exactly how we are paid on our disclosure page. But — and this is the entire point — no partner can buy ranking position. We don't factor partner revenue into rankings. Rankings come from a written, repeatable scoring rubric we describe on our methodology page. If a non-partner product wins our scoring, it wins our list — sometimes with an unlinked card noting that it wins our scoring even though we earn nothing on it.

How our content is made

Track Retirement's guides are researched from primary sources — CFPB, IRS, NAIC, FINRA, SSA, FRED — and drafted with the help of AI tools, then checked against those sources before publishing. Everything here is general information to help you compare options, not personalized financial advice; confirm current figures with the provider or a licensed professional before you act.

How we write a guide

Every Track Retirement guide is built from a research-first workflow. We pull primary sources — CFPB, IRS, NAIC, FINRA, SSA, FRED — before we write the first paragraph. Each guide ships with a numbered sources block citing where every regulatory claim, rate quote, and dollar figure came from. Figures are checked against those primary sources before publication.

How we update content

We keep rate-sensitive content (MYGA rates, news) current and re-check guides as rules change. Every page shows the date it was last reviewed.

Corrections

We fix errors fast. If you spot something wrong — math, current rate, regulatory rule — email support@trackretirement.com. Acknowledged and fixed promptly, and logged publicly on our corrections page.

What we'd love to hear from you

Gaps in our coverage. Questions our guides don't answer. Personal-finance topics that need an honest writeup. We read every reader email and reply to as many as we can. Topic suggestions that we agree need coverage go on the editorial calendar — and we follow up when we publish the work.
